Catering & Culinary Skills

This course offers certification at QQI Levels 3 & 4.

This is a hands-on practical course and the focus is on preparing learners wishing to work in the Catering/Hospitality industry.

Content includes the following:

  • Culinary Operations
  • Computer Applications
  • Primary Food Hygiene
  • Manual Handling
  • First Aid
  • Work Experience

This course is 12 months duration and includes in-company work experience.

I am Over 18

To qualify for a Training Allowance you must be in receipt of any of the following payments:

  • Jobseekers Benefit/Allowance
  • One Parent Family Allowance
  • Disability Benefit
Applicants must be between the ages of 16 – 21 years.

No Qualifications Yes – you are eligible
Junior Certificate Yes – you are eligible
Leaving Certificate Applied An application on your behalf will be made to WWETB (Waterford Wexford Education Training Board)

No Guarantee of Acceptance

Leaving Certificate No – not Eligible

The course is run on a full-time basis from Monday – Friday.
